Huawei could announce another smartphone called Ascend D3 with a Kirin 920 octa-core processor at MWC 2014.

Chinese manufacturer Huawei should have a couple of announcements for MWC 2014, including a check on the already crowded segment of watches connected. As usual, it should also have several mobile devices.

And if the ultrafine model of Ascend P7 should not be part of the lot, it is a Huawei Ascend D3 smartphone which is mentioned to take over the model Ascend D2 unveiled at CES 2013 in Las Vegas.

Belonging to a premium series, the Ascend D3 model should have strong characteristics. It could keep a slab of 5" full HD resolution as its predecessor and include a camera of 16 megapixels, all in a metal cover.

There is a difference for its processor. Homemade K3V2 quad core model, the smartphone Huawei Ascend D3 could benefit from a Kirin 920 octa-core processor 1.8GHz. Using little-big architecture, it is not a "true" octa-core but configuration 4 cores ARM Cortex A9 and 4 cores of ARM Cortex A7 engraved in 28 nm.

Huawei Ascend D3 measures not more than 6.3 mm thick and is therefore a good candidate for an announcement at the MWC 2014 show in Barcelona in late February.
