The VLC app for iOS has just received an update with a redesign to fit the interface of iOS 7. Other new features are also emerging.

VLC 2.20 for iOS has just made its entrance, to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It comes with a new design that sticks to iOS 7, including a new status bar and a presentation video made before larger thumbnails.

But this is far from the only novelty the application hosts, among others, new multitouch gestures, integration of Google Drive to retrieve files and Dropbox to play videos directly from a streaming account. Libraries for TV sets and audio files have also been improved, as well as the integration of UPnP (Universal Plug and Play). A tutorial for learning how to use the application has also been added. Finally, the application can also be locked with a code to preserve the confidentiality of the library content.
