To snatch market share in India, Apple would consider to market the iPhone 4, one device that is no longer offered in the rest of the world since September 2013.

Apple has stopped marketing the iPhone 4 during the arrival of the iPhone 5S and 5C, to focus on these two models as well as the iPhone 4S. But the situation could change in India, according to information published by The Economic Times.

Indeed, the company could resurrect the 8GB version of iPhone 4 in the Indian market, to compete with other device vendors in the country, including smartphones that are often put in the inexpensive range.

Apple, which did not respond to requests for media comments, however, could offer the iPhone 4 for 15,000 Indian rupees. The firm has divided the price of the smartphone which was almost doubled since it was offered 26,500 rupees before stopping sales in late 2013.

Still, the iPhone 4 dated 2010 is therefore very old in the technology sector where everything goes very quickly. Other companies prefer to focus on newer devices but less pushed aside specifications in order to seduce the Indians: it is the case of Samsung, which is one of the market leaders in the country. We can therefore ask whether a comeback of Apple iPhone 4 will compete in India or not.
