Panasonic has benefited from the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas to present its new digital camera labeled Lumix DMC-ZS40.

The Panasonic DMC-ZS40 can capture the picture quality of 18.1 megapixels (JPEG) or video capture Full HD at 60 frames per second (MPEG-4), with the possibility of release delayed by a timer of 2 or 10 seconds. There is also possibility for map due to the presence of a GPS chip.

You can control the camera through physical buttons or smartphone equipped with a dedicated application, preview the screen at the back (yet unspecified size, maybe 3 inches like the Lumix DMC-ZS35 unveiled together), recording from a memory card of MicroSD/MicroSDHC/MicroSDXC (up to 64GB) and sharing via a Micro-USB 2.0 cable and Wi-Fi N connection. Note also the presence of a Micro-HDMI output 1.4 for distribution on the living room TV.

Dimensions of 11.1 x 6.4 x 3.4 inches it evokes a weight of 240 grams with an integrated battery that allows up to 300 shots.
