Turn a simple paper in UFO guided airplane via smartphone, it is possible with the Power Up 3.0, a project that meets some success on KickStarter.

A paper airplane, a gadget with a propeller and a Bluetooth sensor, a smartphone, is the winning combination of PowerUp 3.0, a gadget currently being funded on KickStarter, and that totally blew the desired budget in only 4 days.

The concept of PowerUp 3.0 is simple: add a paper airplane folded correctly with a light weight module combining a Bluetooth sensor on the front, a propeller and a rudder at the rear. Using a dedicated application on an iOS or Android smartphone, it is then possible to control the rudder using the gyroscope device, allowing the propeller plane stay in the air longer than normal.

The battery life is limited to 10 minutes and the aircraft can fly up to 55 meters around the smartphone without losing contact. Everything is recharged using a micro-USB cable.

Shai Goitein, the creator of PowerUp 3.0, is trying to collect 50,000 dollars to put his toy production: in 4 days, it has raised over 210,000 dollars on KickStarter, which makes the device a new runaway success of the platform.

You can preorder the PowerUp 3.0 for minimum 45 dollars. Delivery is scheduled for May 2014.
