Toshiba has renewed its KIRAbook, its top competitor Ultrabook range for MacBook Pro Retina. The new generation has the particularity to offer a whopping 22 hours of battery life!
In last April, Toshiba was one of the first manufacturers to offer a laptop with very high resolution. Based on Intel's Ivy Bridge platform, it offered a range of ultrabooks with 8 hours battery life.
The manufacturer now adopt the new Haswell platform, which provides a reminder of the sensitive energy savings, and therefore an increase of autonomy. In the event, this new KIRAbook is almost tripled since it comes with a 22 hours battery life with a non-touch HD screen model (reference V654) and also weighs only 1.12 kg.
The worthy heir of the first KIRAbook, the V854 model with a 13.3-inch touch screen WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) offers a range of 14h.
Both models are available from today in Japan at 144,000 and 153,000 yen respectively, equivalent to 1060 and 1130 euros.
