The Nexus 5 smartphone gets away with a good grade of 8/10 given by iFixit.
After disassembling the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, the iFixit site handled the case of Nexus 5 manufactured by LG for Google. Dismantling the rules of art it went very well for them.
There was no glue but plastic clips that keeps the panel attached. A little bit of glue to the base is still a tad complicated for the removal operation. The good surprise was the non-removable battery that can be dislodged without much difficulty.
The various components of Nexus 5 are sufficiently identified to avoid confusion and the motherboard does not offer any particular resistance to its removal. As usual, the main concern is the level of fused glass and frame LCD. It will be problematic if the screen gets broken.
In the end, iFixit gives it a score of 8/10 for its potential to repair. The iPhone 5c and 5s had a score of 6/10.
