A few hours after the submission of its next Surface tablets, Microsoft formalized a new storage option for its SkyDrive service.
At a press conference held yesterday in New York, Microsoft introduced the technical specifications of its forthcoming Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2. If they have new components, these tablets will also come with some value-added services. Thus, for one year, the consumer can make calls to the international unlimited for Skype. In addition, the storage device can be expanded with 200 GB of free SkyDrive for two years.
On one of its official blogs, Microsoft formalizes this new offer on SkyDrive to make it available for all users. Thus, it is now possible to add 200 GB of space to its initial quota - 7 GB or 25 GB for the oldest accounts - subject to $100 per year. This subscription is added to the existing options of 20GB, 50GB and 100GB respectively charged at $10, $25 or $50 per year.
