Microsoft has confirmed from the invitations for a press event organized by them in New York on September 23.
Rumors that pile for a few weeks leave little room for doubt: Microsoft is preparing to launch the second generation of its Surface tablet. The hypothesis was confirmed on Monday as the publisher did go in the direction of the American press invitations for an event held on 23 September in New York area. The launch date of the alleged tablet "Surface 2" is not yet known, but it seems logical that Microsoft will release it with the availability of Windows 8.1, the future major upgrade of its operating system.
The appearance of Surface tablet remains broadly unchanged. However, there would be new components aside, since the RT version of Surface (equipped with an ARM processor) was used on a chip provided by Nvidia Tegra 4, with 4 GB of RAM and a new LCD panel capable of to display 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Pro version will come with an x86 processor to topple its hand on a chip generation of Intel Haswell this time accompanied by 8GB of RAM, 4GB against the model currently available.
There is also talk of a new range of accessories: a docking station for the Pro area, thought to allow the tablet to replace a laptop in a commercial scenario, or Power Cover for version RT variation of the current keyboard equipped with a battery to enhance the overall autonomy of all. For now, lets keep a watch for September 23!
