Toshiba Camileo X-Sports Action Camera to be launched
Live from Berlin, Toshiba wants its share in the growing market for sports cameras. So it has now launched a Camileo X-Sports action camera, with whom it put on an attractive price-performance ratio.
Toshiba launches Camileo X-Sports, a miniature camera inspired openly in the GoPro reference area, on an aesthetic level. But unlike the latter, the Camileo comes standard with an LCD viewfinder and comes with many accessories, especially with all kinds of fasteners.
It is also based on a CMOS sensor with 12 million pixels that can shoot in Full HD 1080p at 60 frames/s with electronic stabilization, wearing a lens of "ultra wide angle", without elaborating. On the back, the LCD screen measures 2 inches, it displays an undisclosed definition. But Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to set the camera to frame and view photos and videos stored on the microSD card from an Android smartphone or iPhone.
Included among the accessories are water resistant up 60m and a remote control to change the mode and trigger, with colored LEDs, to navigate more or less easily.
Toshiba Camileo X-Sports will be marketed in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2013 for an estimated retail price of 250 euros.
