The HTC Desire 601 is a new smartphone combining specific inherited HTC One high-end technical features input range.

HTC announced the Desire 601, a new smartphone in the mid-range offering some of the features of the manufacturer.

The HTC Desire 601 draws to start from the front of the HTC One in similarity, with two front speakers of "HTC BoomSound." But back to the cover it has a satin plastic that reminds us of the HTC One X.

The back sensor has 5 megapixel which is in turn associated with "HTC Zoe," that includes a variety of features to detect smiles, erase parts of the background, to couple its photos/video 3s or compile photos and videos in videos 30s. It is a small retro-exposed 1/4 inch CMOS sensor, wearing a bright f/2 28mm equivalent lens.

The latest HTC smartphone is also an entry level like many others, sporting a 4.5-inch qHD display and houses a Snapdragon SoC 400 (a double core Qualcomm MSM8930 1.4 GHz) 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM and 8 GB of internal memory expandable with microSD.

It comes with Android 4.2 and HTC Sense 5.5, HTC Desire 601 will be marketed in September at a retail price of 350 euros, a price-performance ratio rather disappointing.

Note that HTC Desire 300 is also announced, which comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, a Snapdragon S4 SoC legacy and older versions of Android and Sense.
