Android 4.3 comes on the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition Smartphones

Google promised that Google Play editions of its third party partners benefit from the Android updates faster than the versions offered by operators. It is thus the time for HTC One and Galaxy S4 to enjoy this benefits.

Holders of HTC One or Galaxy S4 Google Play edition can now make an update to Android version 4.3.

Google has not broken its word and made the updates to the OS for the first smartphones taking advantage of the partnership from Google Play Edition, like its Nexus range.

The update will eventually be available for the Nexus line of Google, but with only 9 days to offset the firm which was more reactive. Especially at present, no date is given on the part of manufacturers and operators to deploy the update to other compatible smartphones.

The menu of the update, nothing extraordinary because as its name suggests it is only a minor change. One can also observe the arrival of a new user profile management, support for Bluetooth LTE and OpenGL ES 3.0.

Google will soon add a new smartphone to its Google Play Edition lineup, namely Moto X which should be available simultaneously with the standard version of the smartphone.

The update is being rolled out for a few hours, some users have been able to recover it directly via their smartphones. On the Galaxy S4 this update weighs 150.7MB against 185.5MB for HTC One. In this update, Google highlights the improvement in everything related to emphasizing video game due to the second important element of graphics supported by OpenGL ES 3.0.
