After the huge success of first two device including Blackberry Z10 and Blackberry Q10 which were running on new Blackberry 10 operating system, the manufacturer today launched a new and 3rd smartphone running with the same named as "BlackBerry Q5". As first two devices were too costlier for an average person, this is an affordable phone for users who want to taste the new BB 10 OS. Blackberry launched the new device for just Rs. 24,990 while it is just less in configuration compared to earlier two smartphones.

The new BlackBerry Q5 features a 3.1-inch IPS HD display offering resolution of 720 x 720 pixels with 328 PPI making it quite better for watching HD videos or games. Similar to BB Q10 it is Full QWERTY phone with physical keyboard having 35 keys. Now what makes it less compared to Q10 is its processor. The device is running with 1.2GHz dual-core processor which is less compared to Q10. Apart from this it comes with the same 2GB of RAM offering smooth multitasking and better performance.


For photography BlackBerry Q5 has a 5 Megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash allowing you to capture FULL HD 1080p videos and high quality images. There is also a 2 Megapixel front facing camera for making video calls and conferencing. . In terms of storage we get 8GB built-in memory which can be expanded uoto 32Gb using MicroSD card. The new Q5 also seems better in connectivity options with support of 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n,Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

Manufacturer has powered the device with 2180 mAh Non-removable battery from which we can expect the battery life of an entire day on WiFi. As per users preference the device comes in 3 different attractive colors including Black, White and Red as you can see in the image above. The phone will start shipping probably from tomorrow across the retailers and online vendors at the price of Rs. 24,990/- as mentioned above.
