Yesterday Samsung launched two more devices under their Flagship Galaxy series including Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Zoom. We have been reading news and several rumors about Mini edition of the S4 smartphone since past couple of months, now it is officially available in India at the price of Rs. 27,990/- in contract with 2 GB of free 3G Data per month for 3 months from Reliance communications. The device is available in two colors, which are White Frost and Black Mist.
Running on Android 4.2.2. Jellybean the mini version features a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display offering 960 × 540 pixels resolutions. There are two variants of the phone, one comes with Single SIM and other with Dual SIM facility. As per configuration Samsung has powered the device with 1.7 GHz dual-core processor accompanied with 1.5GB of RAM from which we can expect better multitasking and smooth performance. In terms of storage though the device comes with 8Gb built-in memory, only 5GB is available for users access and rest goes to the system. However this can be expanded upto 64GB using MicroSD card.
Compared to 13MP in S4, the Mini version comes with 8 Megapixel rear camera as well as 1.9 Megapixel HD front-facing camera for making video calls and conferencing in 720p. As far as connectivity is concerned the device supports 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.0, and GPS/GLONASS. At last it is running on 1,900mAh battery from which we can expect the battery life of upto 12 hours in usage mode. Galaxy S4 Mini is now available for purchase on Samsung India E-Store with EMI and other facilities.
