The Mozilla Foundation on Tuesday has posted, shortly after its fifteenth birthday (March 31), the final version of Firefox 20. Among other improvements, the browser opens a featured Simplified download manager which is integrated better into the interface.
Launched as a beta in late February, Firefox 20 is now distributed via the release channel, a publication dated on April 2. The software is available in final version.
Among other improvements reported by the release notes, it mentions especially about revising the download manager, which now appears as an icon in the right side of the address bar. When we hover, it displays the latest transfers, and provides access to the complete list of downloads. It is complemented by a discreet notification when downloading finishes.
Firefox 20 introduces a new module also called incognito (private browsing, a mode that, when activated, prevents the software to collect data on the surfing done) running now through window tab and not only so, for example, simplify the back-and-forth between personal session and a guest.
Among other performance improvements, security fixes and better support for HTML5 elements and implementations dedicated by the developers, Firefox 20 also obtains a module to kill a plugin that would have some problem regardless of the browser instance.
The software is now available for download from here.
