BlackBerry has announced the deployment of the first update for the new BlackBerry 10 mobile phone platform, a month almost to the day after it was launched.
BlackBerry 10.0.10.85 promises to have a performance improvement of all third-party applications, probably through an optimization of the development platform but also and especially the interpreter Android application.
Performance optimization often goes hand in hand with improved autonomy. In this instance, BlackBerry shows to have made sixty changes directly affecting the autonomy. According to the manufacturer, it will benefit mainly to heavy users. The gain is not encrypted.
The update also improves some of the main functions of the operating system. The camera would be more effective in low light when the flash is not used. Meanwhile, the video player does not have detailed improvements. Finally, the phone function, calendar and address book benefits from the patches.
BlackBerry 10.0.10.85 is still being deployed to the various operators worldwide. To check if the update is available, you must go to the Settings application then Software Updates > Find new software. It weighs 150 MB and can be installed directly from the device over-the-air (OTA).
