Cisco has revealed new Linksys AC 1750 HD 'Smart Wi-Fi' router with new 802.11ac standard. It is said to offer speeds of up to 450Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 1.3Gbps on 5GHz. It promises to deliver better range for improving power consumption of devices running on battery like Smartphone’s, laptop's etc.
Other than this Linksys has also revealed their new Smart Wi-Fi platform for offering their users the ability to manage “Connect Cloud-enabled routers” and download applications for extending their routers capabilities. One can access their Smart Wi-Fi router-based networks via Smart Wi-Fi Tools and appropriate applications.
They have come up with new SimpleTap feature, where just with tap of a button their customers can connect their devices to their Linksys Smart Wi-Fi routers. In order to help their customer choose the right wireless router they have included a customer capacity chart as well. Cisco Linksys AC 1750 HD Smart is compatible with Linksys's AC Universal Media Connector. It can be used to connect all of the below devices wirelessly:
- New Apple iPhone 5 with dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi
- New Apple iPad 2
- Apple TV and other Apple iPhones, iPads and iTouch
- Android SmartPhones and Tablets
- Smart Wi-Fi HD TVs
- Set-top Audio and Video streaming devices from Roku, Dish Network, DirecTV and more

Sources say that Linksys has also announced that they have indulged in partnership with LG Electronics for delivering enhanced streaming via LG's slim-profile Cinema 3D Smart TVs. Cisco Linksys AC 1750 HD Smart is available for $219.99 where as its recently released AC Universal Media Connector is available for $159.99.
