Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 New Version Now Supports Windows 8

The security company announces the availability of its Kaspersky Internet Security 2013. Kaspersky says that these antivirus protections are now compatible with the next OS from Microsoft, Windows 8.

The Russian publisher has presented the final version of its suite named Kaspersky Internet Security 2013. This antivirus and antispyware protection includes a new engine and a new anti-phishing module. It also carries automatic updates via a method and heuristic detection (engine reputation) websites that attempt to fraudulently obtain data pertaining to a user.

As a reminder, Kaspersky had already presented the beta version of its latest security solution. At the time, they made clear emphasis on the battle against banking malware via a tool called Automatic Exploit Prevention (AEP). The latter is thus intended to protect an environment where malicious file is executed. In addition, ARP also seeks to verify the reputation of a file via the cloud, as well as the site from which it comes.

Finally, the publisher reiterated the importance of the virtual keyboard to avoid a possible infection that does not come from any keylogger capture passwords.

Kaspersky says that both solutions are compatible with the new operating system, Windows 8. Also, a user of Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP (32 or 64 bit) can run these two products if it has a processor of at least 800 MHz and at least 512 MB RAM.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 is offered at a cost of 49.95 euros and 29.95 euros with a one-year license.

I am using the trial version of this antivirus and the interface of the software has been totally optimized in this new 2013 version and the cooperation of the tool with the Windows Security Center is also improved, allowing you to control almost all functions of the Kaspersky software from the Windows Security Center.
