Proponents of Twitter community network can now download a new version of the client TweetDeck.
Launched in 2008 and initially available in the form of applications based on Adobe AIR for iOS and Android, the application TweetDeck is a client to manage their Twitter stream. The Community Network has completed the purchase from TweetDeck in May 2011 and then developed it with native applications for Mac OS X and Windows.
On its official blog, the team announced the availability of an update featuring a new user interface. TweetDeck version 1.5 now offers better tools to manage updates in the form of columns.
In addition to its general flow, the user will find private messages and a third listing of its various public interactions with other members. Tweetdeck 1.5 simplifies the handling of the software with a more fluid navigation between each column using the trackpad or a customizable menu. Moreover, each message now has a menu through which it will be possible to perform multiple actions. From the latter it is possible to react to a "tweet" by mentioning the author, sending a private message, adding or removing a person or to generate a link to this post on twitter.com.
For now the update is available on Windows and on the hosted application. The OS X edition will soon be deployed within the Mac App Store. Alternately, you can download the TweetDeck 1.5 new version from here.
