Google offers a complete alternative to the mail client on the iPhone and the iPad and announces an update to its mobile application for Gmail.
Because of a malfunction in the notification system, IOS had urged Google to withdraw the Gmail mobile application for iphone and ipad, last November. Via one of its official blogs, the team announced that the application has been updated and now integrates completely in the center of notification. The mobile phone will be able to notify about the email either by receiving a new message or by displaying a banner or a warning and one can also choose whether to present it on the lock screen or not.
Customers making use of Gmail for managing multiple email accounts will in turn choose a shipping address directly from the window of composing a new message. Finally, Google says that the connection to the application has been improved and it no longer disconnects after a while.
In December Google has already deployed an update for the management of the signing of sub-labels and custom sound notifications.
