Five months after being launched worldwide Atrix 2 finally manages to reach India. It would be interesting to see how India treats this new Smartphone from Motorola. The Motorola Atrix 2 a.k.a the Motorola 4G Atrix 2 is now available in the online retail sites for a price of Rs.22,990.
This android 2.3 Smartphone features a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for the further expansion of memory. A 4.3 inch display with 8 megapixel camera and a vga camera at the front. Atrix 2 also has a Webtop app which when connected to the Motorola’s Lapdock accessory gives a desktop like browsing experience. Although it is said that Motorola will not be releasing the Lapdock accessory in India.
Motorola Atrix 2 which currently runs on a Android 2.3 gingerbread operating system will be upgraded to Android 4.0 in the near future.
This Smartphone has made a very quite release in India with not much hype and looking at the base price of Rs. 22,990, its competitors are mainly Samsung Galaxy R and the LG Optimus 2X. Although I must say that no other Smartphone gives a 1GHz processor, with 8 megapixel camera and 4.3 inch display at such a price.
