Though the PC market of the Q4 2011 saw a decline of 6.5 percent but wipro is confident that it is going to change the scenario. Global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have already launched similar ultrabooks in the world, the potential of Ultrabook is not yet identified much in india and wipro is hoping to catch on the opportunity. Ashok Tripathy, VP and Business Head, Wipro Systems and Technologies said "We see the market share of notebooks doubling up in the next 12 months to 10 percent in the overall personal computers (PCs) sales and sustaining the growth due to faster penetration, adoption and increasing use by government organizations,"
Wipro also plans to sell the ultrabooks in the gulf area as well as Africa.
