The beta version of Windows 8 will finally be coming on February 29th. This news has been actually confirmed by Microsoft. So if you all want to get your hands on this new operating system then you can very well do that on February 29th. Just to remind you all that this is the beta version of Windows 8 which is getting released and beta version is also known as consumer preview.
Microsoft will be unveiling the Windows 8 Consumer Preview at an event in Barcelona.
Windows 8 has been designed keeping the tablets and touchscreen computing in mind. There has been some leaked screenshots of Windows 8 beta version going around in the internet and looking at them we can say that the iconic windows logo has been disappeared. The metro styled interface, new translucent UI for Charm bar are some of the welcome additions in Windows 8. On addition to that, support for multiple monitors, enhanced touch experience and support for both x86 and ARM processors are some of the few changes made in Windows 8.
The consumer preview will give us a detailed look on all the features of the full version and hence we would be getting to know how well does it perform in computing as well as mobile environment. Like all beta products even this Windows 8 will also be having a expiry date, but like always there will be a hack and you would be able to use it for a longer period of time.
