The Federal Bureau of Investigation United States announced the release of its first iPhone application called 'Child ID'.
What to do when your child is missing in a shopping center and you can not find it? That is the question on which the FBI has addressed the application by unveiling 'Child ID' app. It can store images of your children and several physical characteristics such as weight or size of the latter. You just have to start the application to query traders around who will be able to view the information in your offspring. If the search is futile, Child ID also offers an option to send this information directly via email to authorities. To avoid such a tragedy, the FBI has also added tips for parents. In partnership with the AFCA, the association of football coaches, the application will receive a promotion for several games during the season. The FBI says "do not collect or store photos and information entered by the mobile. All data are stored in your handheld unless you need to send them to the authorities". Note that is, it can be good to have this information at hand on anyone's smartphone, it is probably not necessary to use a dedicated application. Distributed for free 'Child ID' is available to download from iTunes.
