Microsoft unveils first Windows "Mango" Phone

Its official that the first Smartphone based on the new "Mango" edition of Microsoft's Windows Phone platform is released and was displayed today in Tokyo. It is said that it will be one of the Smartphone that the Microsoft is planning to target the overpowered Smartphone developers. The new platform that will be replacing the Windows Mobile has got some good reviews as well as thousands of applications in it. In the first quarter of 2011 the Microsoft had captured 2.7 percent of the Smartphone market. Now a year before, that was in 2010 it was said to be 7.1 percent. So that means that the market value of the windows phone was decreasing with the entry of android as well as the apple in the Smartphone market. The officially announced windows Phone 7.5 has around 500 improvements over the Windows Phone 7. Emails will be given the ‘thread view’ to view the mails as well as additional features such as instant messaging, facebook have been added along with the new Internet Explorer 9. Now the phone that has been displayed today i.e. IS12T has been developed by the Toshiba people. Some of the other manufactures that are working with the Microsoft for this windows update are Taiwan's Acer and China's ZTE and Nokia as well. It will be very much interesting to see how Nokia plays a role in shifting the Smartphone market attention towards the Microsoft. Now the newly released IS12T phone has a 3.7-inch screen and a 13.2 megapixel camera with the wifi as well as the Bluetooth support. Weighing around 113 grams, the battery life is said to be a good one with the stand by time of more than 11 days and talk time of 6 hours. Internal memory is 32GB.
