Having developed several mobile applications, Facebook could now turn to the browser market? It is certainly one of the assumptions which runs on the Web, following the publication of an advertisement to recruit members of a software development team.
The American blog TechCrunch reports a job advertisement posted by Facebook recruiting more employees to its offices in Seattle. The company wants to set up a team dedicated to developing software to destination computers.
The announcement explains: "The desktop software team is a new Facebook team based in Seattle, WA. We will work on new products and want to deploy them on the computers of millions of users to make use of their machine for more community". Engineers interested should testify the programming experience on Windows and Mac OS X and should have knowledge in PHP and ready to work with different service API.
Can we expect a browser signed for Facebook? If this is the case then we imagine that Mark Zuckerberg's company will take advantage of earlier failures suffered by Flock and RockMelt.
Facebook is currently about to reach 700 million users worldwide.
