Sony BDP-S780 Blu-ray Standalone Portable Laptop player Launched

Sony finally announced its first Blu-ray laptop, in Europe, succeeding with numerous competitors. Sony has optimized its independence drive in consideration, crippling point in the competition, since the "BOP-SX1" enables chaining "up to 3 movies" on a single charge.

The new "Sony BDP-SX1" actually boasts a battery life of 5 hours, while the competition will take an average of 3 hours. It charges in exchange for some overweight, since it weighs 2.1 kg.

The "BOP-SX1 is also a Blu-ray laptop in the middle.

It is structured to begin, literally and figuratively, around a slab WSVGA (1024 x 600 pixels) by 10.1 inches (25.6 cm), probably inherited from the netbook market, and therefore relatively unsuitable ( 4:10 p.m. ratio instead of 16:9, TN method). This screen despite the excitement of being mounted on a hinge, display the main buttons, which include anchoring the back of a car seat.

Support for Blu-ray and BD-Live requires an Ethernet connector and a USB port, it also operates to play XviD format videos up to 1080p, but not in DivX format, and also plays JPEG photos and MP3 music. Its HDMI output and remote control can naturally make it a player lounge once you arrive at your destination. A cigarette lighter adapter is also supplied.

The "Sony BDP-SX1" will soon be marketed in the world for an estimated retail price still undisclosed.

Instead, I will buy a laptop with blu-ray player (and the PC all have HDMI now). It would have been better to lighten the craft and to provide a car charger or a removable battery. Most importantly, how can we offer a 16/10 screen while almost all the computers today have a portable slab 16:9?
