This is respite for all the publishers and website holders who have been embarrassed with the way Chinese search engine Baidu was unknowingly without permission of others were show casting their data on its search engine for online library. All the writers and the publishers were very annoyed with this kind of a act that the Baidu was doing without letting them know and without asking permission for the usage of the data on their online library.
Since there was allot of tussle that was going on between the publishers and Baidu for quite sometime now, finally Baidu has deleted 2.8m works from its online library to settle a copyright disagreement with writers.
There were almost 40- 50 publishers who were accusing the Chinese search engine for letting their data and various other down loadable content to be available on their site without their permission.
More than 40 authors had accused the company of offering their works as free downloads without permission. After the argument between the company and the publishers reached to the highest level the search engine has finally decided to delete every publishers data that they have been using without their permission.
It has come to notice that Baidu Wenku allowed users to upload data and texts to its library and so the users who uploaded these files should be responsible for any copyright issues. But the authors would want the company should be help responsible for all of this and should be banned immediately. Dude to this company has took the initial step to delete the used data and have quoted that they will be working more closely with the writers and the authors in future to come.
