Vodafone Essar today announced the launch of Vodafone R201- a unique mobile Wi-Fi device in India.

Vodafone R201 is an innovative and portable Mobile Wi-Fi terminal which can be used by 5 users simultaneously to connect to Vodafone’s 3G network.

It contains a SIM slot to connect to the 3G network and 5 users can then connect their computers, mobile gaming devices, digital music players to the device over Wi-Fi to enjoy 3G speeds.

Vodafone R201, with its aesthetic appeal and compact design and a battery life of up to 4 hours allows users to enjoy uninterrupted 3G internet services on the go at a speed of up to 7.2 mbps on HSDPA enabled devices.

Priced at Rs. 5,500 this attractive device is powered by battery, mains or USB along with plug and play software of 128 MB flash memory empowering the user with the flexibility of usage, while sharing the coverage between several devices.

Well its better to buy reliance or tata photon plus with wifi routers, you get usb option for network device access. But as per my opinion you must not use this kind of product when its not being available in the market, you would feel a like fish out of water.
