Error 1935! Can't install Sony Vegas, 2005 C++ Redistributable!? H

I did a fresh install of Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit on one of my desktops. After completing the same when I tried installing Sony Vegas Pro 8.0, it has the process where it installs C++ 2005 Redistributable, when the system reaches this point, it gets failed. I tried doing this various times but the same result.

Later when I checked the Event Viewer, I got this message:

Later when I tried installing Adobe Premier Pro CS3, it too failed with an Error Code 1935. I don’t know whats wrong with this installation. Do you guys have any idea? Please help.

I guess there is come compatibility problem with Vista and Sony Vegas and Photoshop CS3. Because I was surprised to read you post as I’m also having the same problem with exactly the same softwares. While searching for some help on internet I found a guy saying installing .Net 2.0 will fix the problem. I tried doing the same but .Net 2.0 was already installed on my system. So that even dint helped.

Hope someone here could help us out.
