Windows Vista Error: "0x80070052 The file or dictionary cannot be created"

I am having Windows Vista installed in my computer and having some problem with it. Whenever I try to create some new sub-directory on the eReader that I am using then I get an error message saying that "0x80070052: The file or dictionary cannot be created". My eReader is FAT32 formatted, I am having 200 folders in the drive, so I am wondering if there is some limit to the number of the folders in this? Do you have some idea regarding it?

I think that the memory in your eReader is full and that is the reason why they are not be able to make more directories to it. What you can do is, free some memory by deleting some of the unwanted stuffs from that and then try to make a new folder again. See if this time it allows you to make the directory or not.

I would like to inform you that the root of the device is only able to have a certain number of files and if the number goes above that then it will not accept creation of any folders further. If you want to make new folder then just go to any of the folder and within there you can make as many folders as you can adn want, according to your requirement. This is the only solution that I can suggest you for now, hope that helps.

If none of the above solution is helping you out then there might be some problem with the operating system, in that case you can try performing a clean boot and check out if that's helping.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
