i just got this game and is not working on my comp
can you tell me why?
Not a clue, no specs, no error messages, we do our best to help but hey we
aint mind readers
have you tried running as administrator? also try turning off UAC
and see if it runs
Im having the same problem with Frontlines game. Im getting a microsoft
message saying:
Frontlines Game has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will
close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Specs on my system are, vista ultimate 64bit,
intel duo core 2.66GHz, Radeon X800 XT Platinum, 4 gigs ram, onboard
intel high definition audio. I already downloaded and installed the
v1.0.1 patch, and the vista hot fix patch. It will load up the fronlines
logo, then it looks like its gonna go into the game, then that message
listed above pops up.
turned off my UAC, tried to find the compatability tab on the
frontlines properties, doesnt have one. Cant figure out how to run the
game as admin. Game still doesnt work, im still getting that message
that the game has stopped working.
Are you running Vista or XP?
You have to browse to the game directory, usually in c:\program files\company name\frontlines or something like that. Once in there look for the frontlines.exe file, right click, choose properties, if there's no compatibility tab there, then you aren't running Windows 2K/XP/Vista
Im running Vista Ultimate 64bit.
I already changed it to run as admin, still doesnt work. Im still
getting the Frontlines Game has stopped working, window.
there seems to be a lot of problems with Frontlines and 64bit
Vista, the Frontlines: Fuel of War 1.0.2 Patch will soon be available.
http://status.kaosstudios.com/?p=34 this I hope will help
i just found out that frontlines game is incompatible with Radeon X800
and X850 video cards. THQ support says that it should have a fix for it
in 2 weeks or so...
I seemed to be having the same issue and went out and installed the
latest Ageia Physx drivers and the game now plays perfectly.
And no I don't have a physx card

I have worked for several months (on and off) to try to get Frontlines
Fuel of War working on my beefy system running Vista Ultimate 64bit. I
have gone from THQ (worthless) who blamed it on my video card (ATI
4870). I even did the download version in addition to the DVD version
I'd previously purchased w/o help. I installed all the patches
(including the 1.3 today) all w/o change. Today I FINALLY found out it
will run if I turn off the process "AudioSrv." The bad thing is that my
sound card (Creative PCI Express X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series)
will not work when the Windows AudioSrv service is not running. From
here perhaps I can now stuff this back to THQ (Creative was less help
than Activision - didn't even respond to my request) and see what gives.
I'll post a reply / word if/when I get a positive reply.

Prime95?
everytime i try to run frontlines i get the message "frontlines game has
stopped working"
ive downloaded all the patches including the latest one 1.3.0 but i
still cant get the game to work
ive also tried to run as admin and i have disabled UAC
my specs are
vista home premium 32bit
Q6600 Quad Core @ 2.4
4Gb ram
plenty of free memory
nvidia 8800GT alphadog edition with latest driver
could someone help me please?
Of all the games to be installing why Frontlines? Lol. But on a serious
note, update your video drivers and check your sound. Just to be on the
safe side set your sound to 24-bit 44100hz (Studio Quality) or 16-Bit
44100hz (CD Quality).
ive set my sound quality to studio like you said and have check for
driver updates but it still don't work
Hope this might help some of you, its odd to have to do this
but.............
First off, and this sounds odd but works!!! go to the executable of the
game and rename it Bioshock, then create a shortcut of your renamed
executable and put it on your desktop
Put the games disk in, must be disk 2 and then double click your
renamed Bioshock shortcut and hey presto the game will now start.
yep tired that and nope still dont work, i dont think im ever going to
get it to work :(
Did you see this post earlier to see if that helps you, it worked for
me and I have Vista 64-Bit Home Premium, I can only offer you this as a
possible solution as I would'nt know how to turn off "AudioSrv" sorry :(
Guys you can try this but be careful you can crash your pc.
it could be a corruption in the install of the game.
Uninstall all versions of the game (including demos and mods) from the games un-install feature (Windows Vista users must use add/remove programs.)
1. Press the 'Start/Windows' key plus the 'R' key.
2. Type the command 'msconfig' in the 'Open:' box, and then click 'OK.'
From the 'General' tab;
3. Click 'Selective Startup.'
4. Click to uncheck the box for 'Load Startup Items.' (For 'XP' click to uncheck the 'Process System.ini File' and 'Process WIn.ini File' check boxes as well.)
Click on the 'Services' tab
5. Click to check the box for 'Hide All Microsoft Services.'
6. Click the 'Disable All' button and click 'OK.'
Allow your computer restart.
Install the game and update to the most recent patch version:
To leave the "Selective startup" state and reset your startup mode to 'Normal'.
1. Press the 'Start/Windows' key plus the 'R' key.
2. Type the command 'msconfig' in the 'Open:' box, and then click 'OK.'
Click to check the box for 'Load Startup Items.' (For 'XP' click to check the 'Process System.ini File' and 'Process WIn.ini File' check boxes as well.)
4. On the General tab, click 'Normal Startup.'
5. Click OK to allow your computer to restart.
this might work "BUT BE CARFUL YOU DONT CRASH YOUR COMPUTER"
