HELP!! - Vista Startup Repair Not Working

I had a problem with my laptop this morning and it moved automatically
to Startup Repair every time I restart the laptop. It was unable to fix
the problem automatically and when I tried to use the System Recovery
    advanced options the following happens:
    (a) Unable to use the System Restore
    (b) Unable to use the recovery partition on the harddrive due to an
    Error: 0X200110020000100A
    (c) Unable to use chkdsk from command line as it says the drive is in
    use and wants to unmount!
    (d) The only option that appears viable is Full Reintall of Vista which
    i am loathe to do.

    I have a Gateway C-140X
Any advice or help will be appreciated

    Thank you.

I would take it back for a new one.
You never know what caused the fault and it may be an intermittent one that
    recurs.

Re: HELP!! - Vista Startup Repair Not Working

Please, pardon me if im jumping protocols or posting this in the wrong place.
My HP laptop has been giving me a blue screen error message every minute until i ran into a page online to disable my autorestart on star up to be able to get a particular error message before it restarts, which i did. Eventually my system wouldnt even boot agai. I try running the restor or even going on safe mode to uninstall some new sofwares but the system wouldnt even load windows. It gives me the blue screen error everytime it wants to load windows and wouldnt even repair or load the last known good configuration. Please, help me. I dont have enough money for a new hard disk less buying a certified new Vista OS.
Please, anyone with a step-by-step instruction to fix this should kindly email me at toxzie@hotmail.com or toxzie@gmail.com. Please save a life.
