    MoveFile Failed; Code Error 5. Access Is Denied., When installing Any Programs On Vista

    Dear Friends,
    I Have Bought A New ACER 5100 Laptop And Having Vista Ultimate x86. I
    Have Latest Updates for Vista And McAfee Enterprise. My Internet Is Fine
    ; My UAC is Disabled. Im The Only Administrator and never used any kind
    of passwords or something. But Whenever I Try To Install Any Kind Of
    Program It Says Access Is Denied, MoveFile Failed;Code5. aborts-Retry or
    Exit.

    What Could Be The Problem And Where I Cant Figure Out. Im Now Weeping
    Becoz Of Vista Everyday Some New Problem

    Please Help Me Figure Out. Im A Newbie.

    Go to the setup.exe of the program that you want to install>Right Click on
    it> Select "Run as Admin"

    The error that you are getting usually happens if your pc is infected with virus. You can try to download the Windows Installer Clean up Utility by searching it on the internet and install it in your pc to correct this problem.     First click on Start and then go to Run and type net start dhcp and press Enter and check the results. Also see if there is any problems with the UAC / Premissions issue, just check in control panel User Accounts. Can you tell us what is the startup type for Diagnostic Policy Service? Did you check the Event Log for information on why the service does not start on boot?
