Renaming folder - error: "File Or folder does not exist"

hi all. I have a problem. I hope somebody will help me.

I Have Win Vista Home Premium. I'm creating a new folder, and then trying to
renam it, and i'm getting this error: File Or Folder does not exists"

I made these steps, to resolve a problem.
    1. try celan boot ( disabled all third party services and star tup items:
    2. turn of UAC
    3. I found some registry keys to download, named FD32.reg. i installed, but
    the same issue.

In CMD, or total commander i can rename folders

    Any ideas please.

    Thanks in advance

    Darius

Does this happen in any location or just one? Where are the folders you
are creating located? Please give the full path; e.g.,
    %systemdrive%\Users\UserName\Documents.

Re: Renaming folder - error: "File Or folder does not exist"

I did a Google search for "Vista unable to rename folders" and found
that quite a few people had the same trouble. Apparently going to
Control Panel>Offline Files, clicking "Disable Offline Files", and then
rebooting helped some, but I'm not sure you'll have the Offline Files
    option in Vista Home.

Looking at another of the links from that search, I see a post on
Neowin.net that updates KB938194 and KB938979 caused the problem BUT the
poster had a "vlite" install of Vista. This may not be your case.

This link says to disable the Offline Files and then download the
Newfolderfix.reg file from the most excellent "brink's" website.

Since there are so many links and I don't know your exact situation,
    here is my Google search:

    http://www.google.com/search?q=Vista...G=Search&hl=en

You should probably take a look yourself. Someone who feels s/he has a
more exact answer may come along shortly in this newsgroup, too.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you with this issue.
