Cannot uninstall Nero 7!!

Trying to update Nero 7 to a Vista compatible version but it fails to
uninstall?
(Upgraded from existing XP Home install)

I get this error message when the uninstall runs --

Internal Error:

Custom Action DLL crashed on last call in function
'NeroAg_UnregisterComEx'. The installer must now exit.

Crash Thread ID 5368
Current Thread ID 6072

So how can I uninstall it to install later version please?

General CleanTool is Nero's recommended program for uninstalling any Nero software:

Quite a few issues about this posted in some different news servers.

It's the other way 'round.
Nero 6 is not compatible, Nero 7 is.

I had a similar thing happen. When I got VISTA, I stupidly tried to load my
Nero 6 - it wouldn't, then I had a OEM Nero 7 - it mostly loaded, but it was
not "enhanced" for VISTA and it didn't work right, and when I tried to
"uninstall", using all the correct methods - even in safe mode, the same
error came up - even when using the very disc. Finally I bought the Ultra 7
"Enhanced" - tried to load it but the Ghost of Nero past kept it from going
further - FINALLY I rolled the restore back to BEFORE loading Nero, THEN
successfully loaded the "Enhanced" version certified for VISTA. Whewww!
glad I got that off my chest to share.

tried the Nero Cleanup Tool as suggested and that blows up the
Regisitry server! No chance of rolling back as this was an upgrade!
Any other suggestions or am I just stuck with 7.5.1? This works fine
but is causing COM Surrogate errors in explorer!

This wouldn't happen to be a pirated copy of Nero, would it?

i got it resolved, i downloaded the nero cleaner tool exe and it got resolved,

I know about the Nero Removal Tool. You didn't answer my question. Even
after the uninstaller failed, does Nero still run?

Nero is designed to remain on harddisk until disk is physically destroyed.
It's a permanent software. You can only throw out harddisk to get rid of it

You can always reformat the disk, you moron.

You know why your eyes are so screwed?
You can't select backgroudn to be black in some WindowsLive applications, as
they ignore system-wide color settings.
Expect more eye problems with white background beaming into your eyes.
