My Windows Vista Sidebar is not working and i cant fix!!

At least something worked. Maybe the solution is a simple one.

In looking at the photo of your Sidebar, the Sidebar itself looks
somewhat normal, it's clear with a shadow behind it, it has the controls
at the top, except the oval box around the controls is irregular. Mine
is even (pill shaped). Also your Gadgets aren't displaying correctly.

Have you tried things like moving your Gadgets out to your desktop?
Also closing the Gadgets individually and maybe trying some other ones?
If you right click on the Windows Sidebar icon on the Taskbar (next to
or near the clock) you can exit the Sidebar itself. My Sidebar icon on
the Taskbar is a somewhat greenish monitor.

Another idea, what about the Direct-X installation in your system? I
think Windows Vista needs the latest version. Could the installation of
the older games affected it?

I've tried exiting it all at once from the taskbar and started it again but
it didn't help. I've tried all the default gadgets when you go to add a
gadget and even tried some others but none of them work. I'll try updating my
direct x to the latest version.
