I have just installed Vista ltimate (64) on a new AMD x2 4600+, asus M2R32-MVP mobo, twin Sata drives in a Raid 0 config.
Booting the system is painfully slow. When it eventually gets to the login screen and I type in a password it takes 5 mins for the characters I types in to appear. Then when vista background appears it takes another 5-10 mins to be responsive.
So it's going going to be Mobo, device drivers or one of the pieces of hardware.
Question: Is there anyway in Vista to tell during the boot where the delays are? (eg device contention, network polling, disk / video drivers, invalid devices etc)
