Thread: Lack of FAX Support for Vista Home Premium

Re: Lack of FAX Support for Vista Home Premium

Fine Peter. But, there's only the need to refer to the post one is
responding to. Such as what you just did, and what I have now done.
There's no need to quote any further prior messages. As I said, I can
understand newcomers to a forum doing this, but not those who administer
    these forums. Peter;691845 Wrote:

FYI, no one administers these forums. And Peter is correct: it is customary
to quote more than just a single post in some threads that are longstanding
or entail long discussions since most of us must clear our caches frequently
enough that we will not have the entire thread at our disposal to review.
But thanks for trying to be so helpful. No matter what you do, someone will
snipe. I expect someone to call you out soon for not bottom posting.

We use Aloaha FAX Suite (www.aloaha.com) and are pretty happy with that!

Russ, people are looking for answers. Everyone expects the newest version to
be better. You know that. So...get off the Internet if you do not have
something constructive. I am a computer tech who has used MS for over 20
years. I also have a MAC with OS X 10.4.11. It works great! Here is something
constructive, do not buy PCs anymore...buy MAC. ARE YOOU LISTENING MS???

Yes, the MAC threat again. I would hate to search for you pathetic aid for
this problem. Taking away the use of a fax? Come on get real and while you
are at it get a life. IF MAC IS SO BAD, WHY DOES VIST LOOK SO MUCH LIKE THE

RE: Lack of FAX Support for Vista Home Premium

Did you see johnm's advice a few entries below yours? I tried the Snappy Fax
software at www.snappyfax.com and it worked great! It takes a just a little
time to set it up at the beginning and it costs $29.99 but both the time and
money is worth it. Best yet, even though you have to pay for something that
should be free, MS does not get a penny.
    I hope you enjoy it.

Have you looked at Mac OS X 10.4.11 yet? It does look like Vista which MS
