I've got the same router. As odd as it seems, map a drive letter to it and
access it via the drive letter. When I tried the UNC path everything showed
as empty. Using a drive letter makes it work. I did do the LM key as well.
I'm usingVista Home Premium 64-bit. I have absolutely no clue why it works
this way but it's been reliable for months.

I am using the Thibor 17c firmware, but I'm 99% sure it worked with the
stock 2.0.0.6 Linksys firmware as well.

Yeah it was an odd problem, at first nothing showed up on the LAN and I
tried several suggestions from the Ubuntu forums and got nowhere, so I
copied smb.info word for word from the machine at work and still
nothing, but for some odd reason adding netbios name = whatever got me
somewhere, but in the end it was using gadmin-samba and looking at the
resulting file that seemed to get things working. I know somewhere in
the forums I'd read (Something) about Samba being changed but no real
detail of changes were given. Oh well. I know Vista wants users and
passwords set properly but nothing at all had changed on the Vista
machines. The router just has the standard firmware so that had not
    changed either.
