You're looking for a language pack for Vista - normally they're released in
German and Japanese, but there'll almost certainly be a Chinese language
pack (of which dialect will probably vary but it's generally generic) after
    the release.

I've read that there is something going on with the IMEs, although I
    don't remember the details.

A language pack is NOT required for Chinese language support.

Try going to Control Panel | Regional and Language settings | Keyboards and
Languages | Settings and check what type of keyboard is default. You can
click on the Add button and go to Yi(PRC) and then play with what is offered
    there. See if that helps.

Re: Chinese Input Method in Vista

I have numerous issues with Vista when viewing chinese sites, where IE will
not use the correct encoding for the sites (while IE on XP works perfectly
    well).

If you can provide me the exact step by step repro, ill help test and bug it
    for MS.

hi.I am a developer of a chese input method. I encounted a probem when I
use my chese imput method in VISTA.
My chese input method do not work in IE7 after it's used in Notepad(
    or Outlook、Word、Notepad etc.) .

    For details:
1.It is all right when it is used in
    Outlook、Word、Notepad.
2.It also works fine when only open IE7 (do not open
    Outlook、Word、Notepad etc. )
3.In below case it not work :
step1: open Notepad( Outlook、Word or whatever with UAC applied
    )
step2: open my input method and type some chese words in Notepad.
step3: open IE7, now my input method do not work!

I have already followed the IE7 protect mode's rule to change the
privilage and integrity level of .mb file in the installation step:
    icacls %systemroot%\system32\cqeb.mb /grant Administrators:F Users:F
    Guests:F
    icacls %systemroot%\system32\cqeb.mb /SetIntegrityLevel Level:L

    ------------
Can anyone give me some sugestions?

I think you should consider asking in the Visual Studio newsgroups where
someone may already have figured out an answer to this. You may get an
answer here but should find more developers in those groups.
