    Can't delete an empty folder

I am using a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32bit

I did a no-no and don't know how to fix it. I deleted files in a program
folder instead of uninstalling the program. The folder would not permit me
    to delete it.

I went to control panel and the program was listed there but when I told it
to uninstall, it said it could not because I probably had already
uninstalled it (when I deleted the files.) So I just deleted the file from
the control panel list, but it is still listed in my explorer and I don't
know what to do. Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance for your help. It's always appreciated.

    Margaret

If you still have the program then re-install it and then un-install it the
correct way, i.e., using programs and features.
