Probably your Windows installer is corrupted or damaged. You should try downloading the most recent of Windows Installer from below and install the same. Hopefully your problem will be fixed.

Re: How to solve APPCRASH Problem in Vista

As per me the very first thing you should try out is go to ATI Radeon official website and download/install the latest drivers for your video card. The launched an updated driver for the same on 8/25/2010. If you haven't updated drivers after this date, then possibly this could fix your problem. Here is the page where you can download the driver http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

    Hi juicycouture,

You have to check your Flash version - http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

You should have version 10 or the latest version installed. If you have rebuilt your machine from the Vista installation disks or are using a Virtual Image of XP or Vista, then the Adobe flash control is dated. Check your Virtual images also and update Flash to the latest version. (Windows updates don't include Adobe Flash...)

What is the model/brand of your computer? Also, did Windows Vista come installed out of the box on this? It sounds to me like a driver issue with your video card. It may also be worth pressing the F8 key as the computer starts up to bring up the boot options menu. When you see a list beginning with 'Safe Mode', select 'Last Known Good Configuration' and it may revert the bad driver back to the original, should a driver update be the cause of your problem.
