Registry keys that I can't delete can't take control of etc.

I recently upgraded one of my XP system to Windows Vista. Working great and i liked the new UI. Now the problem i am facing with this is i want to install Acrobat professional but it is getting failed every time. During installation I keep hitting some registry key that stops the install. I might have tried running the installation more then ten times but every time IT finds some another key that is locked or I don't have permission to. How can i fix this registry problem? Is there any way i can reset the Vista registry so that the program can install? Please help. I need to install acrobet so that i can made some PDF files. Many thanks for all your helps.

What Acrobat Pro version are you trying to install? Also let me tell you that though you are logged in as Admin in Vista, the programs run with Standard user rights. Hence should right click the installer and select "Run as Administrator" from the context menu. See if it fixes the problem.

I am trying to install Acrobat Pro version 8.0. I will try your suggestion that is right clicking the Setup executable and click 'Run as Administrator'. Will let you know when i reach home.

Here is an update/ I've done that but the same problem yet. I've drilled down to the registry key in question and I can't delete it or take ownership it just gives an error.

Hello TheJoel, just try out the following. First of all download 'PsTools' from here. Unpack file psexec.exe and place it in C:\Windows\System32. Once done, open command prompt as an Admin and type the following

    PSEXEC -S -I -D REGEDIT.EXE
