cannot change music file track details

Hi, I am using Windows Vista Home Premium edition with Windows Media Player v11. I have several music tracks stored on my PC . Now the problem I am facing is I can only rename those files and nothing else. It wont allow me to change anything in the properties window including its rating or anything kind of detail. It was not the scenario in XP. Is there something wrong with my system or Vista is wont allows to change music file properties by default?

Please help.

That file shows up as corrupt in ASFViewer (available for download from microsoft.com). I would not expect the player to react well to corrupt files.
