    HELP!!! Error Stop 0x0000007E

I have Vista Premium. My laptop has recently starting to restart its
self for some reason. On the BSOD it has given me this error code Stop
    0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0X8244B6B7, 0X87567BDC, 0X875678D8). Evertime i
start it up 5 mins later it restarts again. I think i might have a
virus??? In safe mode I ran a full system scan with windows defender and
it found 2 trojans and 3 other thigns, spware i think, and then i
removed them, but it still seems to be restarting and its getting on my
    nerves.

    Can anybody out there help????

It does sound just like a virus.

Don't expect Windows Defender to cure it. WD is free and you get what you
pay for! You are looking at wiping your hard drive and reinstalling
everything. This time I assume you will include a reputable antivirus program
(not mentioned by you in your posting). Any proper AV program should include
a feature of downloading and installing on a daily basis an update including
    the latest anti-malware tools.

I also hope you have backed up all your data to some external drive or DVD.
If not, then you will have to spend each 5 minutes that the machine is
working in getting your personal material off first.

Additionally, from what you say, I doubt that any pro antivirus program that
you might install without wiping the drive will catch everything bad that is
now on your machine. One problem is that downloading and installing
professional paid-for AV programs take longer to put in place than the time
    you have available.

In safe mode run some online scanners

Thanks for the reply Tonyo, what you said sounds gd, and i did have
norton antivirus on my computer but i have recently been to america for
3 months and when i came back my Norton ran out, and i cant renew my
subscription in the time that the laptop gives me before it restarts.

What problem? You deleted all the previous text.

I am having the same exact problem. How can I fix it when it restarts itself in almost 30 seconds?
