No Audio Device Installed in Vista Ultimate x64 (SP1)

I am not able get my sound installed in Windows Vista. My friend helped me in upgrading the x64 edition. Before that I had installed 32bit edition which was having the same. We thought this might be due to driver incompatibility. Rightnow I am having 2 sound card. One is Creative Sound Blaster and the second is Asus Sonar. There is a Realtek chip on the motherboard. I had check the specification which clearly says that all this cards will work on Windows Vista. But they are not. Can anyone guide me in using any of these.

You need the chipset driver. The one that comes with your motherboard. Update that first and then go for the sound card driver. I am sure that in your Device Manager there are number of un-installed software. You cannot do much on that. Start locating 64bit drivers for your system chipset and then go for 64bit drivers for your sound card. The cards that you had mentioned has compatible drivers for Vista.
