    Devcon.exe for vista?

Can anyone tell me whether there is any script to disable some of the devices in Windows Vista. I have tried the 32 bit and 64 bit version of devcon.exe that i downloaded from microsoft website but it doesnt seem to be working in Vista. So is there any utility or such that will work under Vista without any issues, does anyone know?

Do you get any error message or something when you try to launch it and then it does not work? You should always try to run the Devcon.exe in the administrator rights because it is required under Vista.

Normally i get an error message that says - "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. Check your computers's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher". Do you know about this issue?

You are getting the error message which is actually generated by the IA64 version of devcon.exe that can be found in the ia64 folder when you start it on a x86 or AMD64 platform. You can also try to check if you are starting the devcon.exe from the i386 folder. Hope that this will help you out.
