New Samsung SH-S203 DVD Burner not working on Vista

I bought a new Samsung SH-S203 DVD burner. It is a new one and I had connected the same to my Vista system. It is detected but not installed. I need some help to install it. It is detected in Device Manager with warning sign. In My Computer there is no device located. It is connected and working. I can find in it in BIOS. But some how it is not working.

Check the cable. I think the issue lies with that. For driver thing go in Device Manager and right click on DVD rom. Choose uninstall. Restart your system and let Vista install it automatically through available internal drivers. If that does not work ensure in BIOS that the optical drive is set on proper settings.

There can be hardware fault with the drive also. A number of optical driver mostly get installed by Vista itself. You can try looking for some new drivers on Google, but if that doesn't work then better contact the vendor for replacement. I had got one before which support dual layer disc. But some Vista is not recognizing the same. I changed cable, added new driver and did many stuff. Later on the vendor provided me the replacement and it worked.
