Lexmark scanner error "This operation requires an interactive window station"

I am not able to work with Lexmark scanner in my system. Whenever I try to install it, I am getting a error that "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it." "This operation requires an interactive window station". What does the error actually means. Is this a driver problem or some kind of hardware thing. OR my OS Vista has some issue with the scanner.

Just confirm one thing. The drivers that you are installing with Vista are compatible or not. It is not complicated to find it. You can check the website from where you had downloaded. A number of time many people try to use old XP drivers on Vista and that creates this kind of problem. While you can simply try to find the exact edition of drivers which will support Vista. You will not get this kind of errors after that.
